When it comes to Celtic transfers, especially one as complex as the David Turnbull saga there is one source that hoops fans tend to turn to.
The off-on-off-on saga has been running for around a fortnight with claim ad counter claim from various sides backed up by both clubs on social media.
On Tuesday night Celtic’s interest seemed dead, on Wednesday supporters held a post mortem then late on Thursday it was back on, apparently.
With reports from BBC, STV, Daily Record and The Sun saying deal on supporters turned to Stephen McGowan of the Daily Mail to get to the heart of the issue.
After a throwback to the great transfer saga of last year he confirmed that it was deal on.
Has John McGinn definitely signed for Aston Villa yet?

You’re the only guy a trust re: Celtic transfers. Good to see this.

This morning there will be an anxious wait to see if there are any more twists to the saga, all being well Turnbull will complete the formalities and be pictured as a Celtic player.
The media conference could be awkward but there is a tendency to publish in-house interviews, clearly avoiding some contentious areas with Turnbull’s first open media interview coming next week in Austria where Celtic will play two friendlies.
Have Celtic gone back in with an improved offer?https://t.co/rRs2lApz2Q
