The fans of FK Sarajevo managed to whip up some atmosphere for the visit of Celtic but one banner by their Ultras led to a classic failure.
‘NOT EVEN A SHAMROCK WILL BRING YOU LUCK HERE’ was laid out behind the goal where the home side opened the scoring before conceding second half goals to Odsonne Edouard and Scott Sinclair.
Today I went to Celtic vs Sarajevo – It was a crazy game that included Sarajevo fans getting a handmade flag out they made just to show the Celts. RT so Celtic fans can watch! #celtic #celticfc https://t.co/PZGC9OqENv pic.twitter.com/H8ZGYqe00U

Celtic’s ‘shamrock’ is actually a four leaved clover with the 300 visiting fans enduring Glasgow Fair Friday type weather during the match as Neil Lennon’s side took their first steps towards the group phase of the Champions League.
Assuming that there is no shock three goal defeat next Wednesday Celtic will be heading back to a similar part of Europe in the next round with Macedonian champions Shkendija winning 1-0 away to Kalju of Estonia.
Celtic will be at home for the first leg of the second round with the away leg scheduled for July 30/31 giving the fans a little time to plan and save up for another trip deep into eastern Europe.
