Chris Sutton switched in to the Premier Sports co-commentator role to watch Celtic’s 3-1 win over FK Sarajevo in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.
There were no great surprises in the performance, Celtic looked unsure at the back but attacked with purpose to turn around losing the first goal into a straightforward victory.
Sutton was quick to highlight Mikey Johnston as Celtic’s best player in pre-season with the young winger showing the full range of his ability to draw Celtic level with a spectacular long range effort.

At the weekend Sutton had questioned aspects of Odsonne Edouard’s game last season but the former Celtic striker also highlighted the Frenchman’s strengths which were in evidence when he put Celtic in front six minutes into the second half.
Injuries to Johnston and Boli Bolingoli caused concern but their replacements, Lewis Morgan and Scott Sinclair combined in the 85th minute to put Celtic 3-1 in front to ensure that next week’s return leg is all about improving fitness towards the second qualifying round.
