With interest from Crystal Palace and Eintract Frankfurt going the same way as the mysterious bid from China, Alfredo Morelos is now being teased about interest from AC Milan! Morelos liked and shared on twitter a link to Palace.
Picking up on a story from respected fan site Four Lads Had A Dream the Evening Times has revealed that the former HJK Helsinki starlet is ‘on the radar’ of the Italian giants.
Steven Gerrard has looked increasingly bemused when he has been asked about bids for Morelos, in May after the defeat at Kilmarnock the Ibrox boss admitted that the only offer he had received was for 3 million euros.
With Sports Direct due compensation of ‘many millions of pounds’ there is a growing air of desperation around Ibrox as their funding gap for the season ahead grows even bigger.
Group Senior Sports Reporter Chris Jack tells Evening Times readers:
RANGERS striker Alfredo Morelos is on the radar of AC Milan after the Italians watched him in action during the Europa League clashes with St Joseph’s and Progres Niederkorn.
The Serie A giants had a scout at Ibrox last week for the second leg of the tie with St Joseph’s as Morelos scored a hat-trick in a comprehensive 6-0 win for Steven Gerrard’s side.
And the Colombian was also watched on Thursday as he failed to find the target in the 2-0 victory over Progres that puts the Gers on course for a third qualifying round berth.
