Neil Lennon isn’t in a hurry to cash in on any of his players.

Since returning for pre-season training just over a fortnight ago he has had to face speculation about losing Kieran Tierney, Callum McGregor, Olivier Ntcham and Tom Rogic.

Celtic play their first competitive match in six days time with Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic no longer available.

Retaining the players that know the drill involved in qualifying for the Champions League group stage will be essential over the coming weeks but that task will be carried out against constant speculation about players leaving.

Rogic is the very definition of a big game player with Lennon in no mood to see the Australian depart as he attempts to get his side back into the Champions League.

Asked about interest from Zenit St Petersburg the Celtic boss told The Sun:

It’s speculation at the moment as far as I’m concerned. He is a good player and I want to keep all of my good players.

In May 2018 Rogic signed a new contract that runs until 2023.
