Neil Lennon has questioned the health of Arsenal’s finances after Celtic rejected a second bid for Kieran Tierney.
Three weeks after having a £15m offer knocked back a new bid consisting of a guaranteed £18m with £7m dependent on Arsenal’s success was also rejected.
Celtic had close to £40m in the bank at the end of last year and are in no rush to sell Tierney who is under contract until 2023.
“The club’s valuation has not been met. I don’t know what Arsenal’s financial state is…” ????

It has been widely reported that Unai Emery has a transfer budget of £45m to work with.
Since the first bid was rejected Celtic have spent £3m bringing in Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo from Rapid Vienna but that hasn’t altered their stance on the Scotland defender.
Tierney is currently out injured with Celtic carefully monitoring a pelvic condition that has dogged the player since December.
No timescale has been set for his return to action but with the EPL transfer window closing at 5pm on August 8 the pressure is on Arsenal to come up with an acceptable bid or take their interest elsewhere.
