Luton have rejected a £2.5m bid from Bournemouth for James Stacey.
Celtic have been heavily linked with the defender who played left-back last season but is best known as playing in the other full-back position.
With Mikael Lustig, Cristian Gamboa and Jeremy Toljan moving on since the end of the season Tony Ralston is the only recognised right-back available for the Champions League qualifier against FK Sarajevo.

Neil Lennon is believed to be in Sweden this week looking to build on an impressive week that saw Christopher Jullien, Luca Connell and Boli Mbombo sign up for a total of just over £10m.
Celtic have been quoted with an interest in Brentford midfielder Romain Sawyers with Olivier Ntcham attempting to work his ticket in an interview with French publisher L’Equipe.
