Sky Sports reporter Andrew Dickson appeared to be distressed by the sight of a Celtic fan watching the tennis at Wimbledon.
Despite relocating to London after leaving the club from Ibrox it seems that matters green and white are a continuing source of irritation.
A day at the All England Tennis Club is a truly international experience with sports fans and socialites from all walks of life drawn to SW19 which also just happened to host one of the most popular Celtic Supporters Club’s in London.
As one of the best supported clubs in the world with an easily identifiable kit Celtic shirts are often spotted at major sporting events, indeed for some fans it is part of the fun watching golf tournaments to see someone wearing the distinctive hoops.
Rather than comment on his enjoyment of watching two of the greats of tennis the sight of a Celtic top is worth sharing by Dickson to his twitter followers.
Perhaps sharing his insight into the strengths of both players on Centre Court didn’t appeal with the thought of sharing the shrine to British tennis with a fan of the eight-in-a-row champions proving too uncomfortable.
Currently Djokovic v Goffin on Centre Court, straight across from me there’s a guy in a Celtic top. It’s Wimbledon, there’s 14,999 people in here all dressed up and one geezer massively out of place in a football shirt. Have a day off instead of wearing the same thing everywhere!

Was it the wearing of a football top that enraged you or the fact it was a #Celtic top..?!
— Jane Lewis (@Jane__Lewis) July 10, 2019
You had time to check out what the other 14998 people were wearing? I’m assuming by the time that took, you missed the tennis? That was silly Andrew, next time you’ll have a better day if you watch the tennis.
