Leigh Griffiths will lead the line for Celtic in this morning’s ‘reserve’ friendly against St Gallen with Craig Gordon making his first appearance of 2019.

Former Hibs striker Griffiths scored in the friendly wins over Pinkafeld and Wiener during the Austrian leg of the pre-season tour and will now get the chance to play a full 90 minutes.

Ryan Christie played for 45 minutes of the win over Pinkafeld last Wednesday and is given the attacking midfield role for today’s match which kicks off at 10am Celtic Park Time.

After two friendlies in Austria that saw nine and 10 half time changes Neil Lennon is looking to give as many players as possible 90 minutes with a week to go before the first competitive match of the season- away to Sarajevo in a Champions League first round qualifier.

The Celtic boss is looking to bring in another four players to put his stamp on the side but is also fending off interest in his own players.

Kieran Tierney and Tom Rogic are both in rehab at Lennoxtown but are the subject of interest from Arsenal and Zenit St Petersburg.

Tonight’s first team match kicks off at 6.30 CPT.

CELTIC: Gordon; Morrison, Hendry, Welsh, Gutman; Bitton, Henderson; Morgan, Christie, Sinclair; Griffiths
