Rod Stewart made sure that he was kept upto date with Celtic’s Champions League qualifier during his concert in Newcastle last night- by having a fan stage side relaying the score to him.
Anyone attending one of his concerts will be left in no doubt about where his heart lies with the fans in Newcastle getting to enjoy the singer at his very best after Scott Sinclair back-heeled the hoops 3-1 in front.
The moment @rodstewart found out @Scotty_Sinclair made it 3 ????????????

Watching the early stages might have been a bit concerning for Stewart but once Mikey Johnston equalised with a spectacular long range effort most things slipped into the groove.
The torrential rain died down as the second half started with Odsonne Edouard putting Neil Lennon’s side in front with the hoops dominating the remainder of the match.
Celtic will have seven more midweek gigs to get through to reach the group stage, wherever in the world he is Stewart will be tuning in one way or another.
