Arsenal’s much heralded second bid for Kieran Tierney guaranteed Celtic just £18m for the defender!
The topic of the 22-year-old cropped up during The Transfer Show on Sky Sports News between 7 and 8pm tonight with Jim White as host.
Kaveh Solhekol (Sky reporter) on Arsenal’s rejected bid for Tierney: “£18m plus £7m in add-ons, but those add-ons would be over the whole term of Tierney’s contract at Arsenal, which is why Celtic have had a look at that & said, ‘No, that is not good enough’.” #afc pic.twitter.com/CL60iDNfNv

Sky Sports broke the news of the second bid on Saturday night with the strong suggestion that the offer met with Celtic’s requirements.
During the course of Sunday it became quite clear that it was another low ball offer heavily dependent on Arsenal being successful. With just two FA Cup Final wins to celebrate since moving to The Emirates more than a decade ago the Gunners are a distant sixth favourites to win the EPL as they prepare for a third season in the Europa League.
Tierney has given no indication of any interest in a move away from Celtic with regaining full fitness his priority after at least seven months when he has been troubled by Osteitis pubis.
With no surgery available to cure the condition Celtic are being very careful over Tierney with no comeback date being set.
