Chris Sutton urged the Celtic board to show ambition earlier this morning- at lunchtime he marvelled at a 5-1 demolition of Motherwell.

Neil Lennon made four changes to the side that drew 1-1 at Cluj in midweek and discovered the depth that he has in his squad.

Olivier Ntcham wasn’t one of the five scorers but put in a performance that had class stamped all over it as he linked up the play from middle to front.

Motherwell pounded Celtic from the start, pressing the champions back across the 18-yard-line and took the lead through Liam Donnelly.

Within two minutes the Norwegian Cafu raced forward, exchanged passes with James Forrest then slotted the equaliser past Mark Gillespie.

Leigh Griffiths put Celtic in front with a low free kick, after the break Celtic were clincical around goal with Forrest joined on the score-sheet by Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie.
