Tam McManus fanned the twitter flames last night as he predicted a battle between two Glasgow teams for a mystery winger.
Anyone living in the current decade will be well aware that the old tug-of-war is long dead as Scott Allan proved with Celtic able to offer better terms and opportunities to anyone with footballing ambitions.
Scott Sinclair away highest earner at the club off the books which will free up some money. He wasn’t Neil Lennon’s cup of tea but given fantastic service to the club. Celtic have a replacement winger lined up to come in but could face competition from the other side of Glasgow.

The timing of Sinclair and Tierney departing couldn’t have been much worse for Celtic with their successors struggling badly against Cluj in last night’s Champions League qualifier.
With less than a dozen first team starts between them it was certainly in at the deep end for Boli Bolingoli and Lewis Morgan last night.
From the moment in the first half that he needlessly gave away possession the former Rapid Vienna struggled. Te evidence from Cluj suggests that there is a world of difference between playing wing-back and full-back.
Morgan has shown some promise but looked overawed against the Romanian champions. Champions League qualifiers aren’t really the occasions to introduce and test players out.
Celtic fans are past the stage of bothering about targets opting for Ibrox, we know that day is long gone but with a heaving bank balance supporters are looking to see some of that wealth appearing on the park.
