Celtic fans have bigger issues to worry about but the decision of the SPFL to deny Vakoun Bayo two goals against Hearts jarred a few raw nerves.
Starting his first competitive match following his January signing the striker combined with Christophe Berra for Celtc’s opener after 30 minutes then applied the near post finish on the hour mark to put Celtic 3-0 in front. Apparently the ball may have touched the toe cap of Craig Halkett into the net.
Using the same stricter than strict criteria would see ownership of a number of goals switched, including one incredibly celebrated strike from last season.
See Bayos goals from the weekend are classed as own goals, remember when they voted a deflected goal off A Celtic player as goal of the season and Ryan Jack decribed it as the most special point in his career, ???? tin pot. pic.twitter.com/SQwTu6875d

@spfl how can you justify not giving the 2nd goal to Bayo? You can clearly see the shadow of the ball on his boot, did it miraculously bobble over it?
It is clearly his goal, what justification do you have for not giving it to him? @CelticFC #Bayo pic.twitter.com/E3Lp96mdbo

Not sure at all about the 2 goals Bayo has had taken off him. Can the SPFL show us the footage they used when they decided to change them to own goals? Seems snide for the sake of it.

Looks like @ScotlandSky have taken Craig ‘it’s not fair’ Levine’s words literally….not just robbing Bayo of two goals, the whole team?? Hope the @spfl don’t get a sniff of this, they’d relegate us!! pic.twitter.com/ZqN7lj3M1K

Looks like Bayo has had both goals taken off him.

There was no debate over Scott Brown getting the critical touch, equally there was no clamour from Brendan Rodgers to award his player an own goal.
While the SPFL attempt to deny Bayo two goals Celtic and the club website have rightly credited the striker with two goals against Hearts, either side of a strike from Callum McGregor than no one is trying to reclaim.
