Celtic have been linked with a fresh move for Robert Gumny.

The Lech Poznan right-back has been linked with moves to Germany and Italy but could answer the call for Celtic’s problem position.

Mikael Lustig, Cristian Gamboa and Jeremy Toljan all had spells in that position last season before moving on with Hatem Abd Elhamed, Kris Ajer and Tony Ralston playing at right-back so far this term.

GOOGLE translation: £ 5.8 million for Lech and Robert Gumny’s five-year contract, apparently agreement reached with Celtik!

O Pilse Kopanej isn’t the biggest of twitter accounts but clearly has credibility with 1,400 followers while following just 120 accounts as he covers Polish footballers and transfers.

The figures quoted for transfers can often include elements of a salary with Gumny close to joining Borussia Monchengladbach last January until his medical showed up a knee issue.

Gumny made 19 league appearances last season for Lech but had a disappointing Euro u-21 Championship in Italy in the summer after being effected by food poisoning.

This season he has played in five league games for Lech, with his fitness no longer an issue he would seem to fit the profile of a Celtic signing with Neil Lennon stating yesterday that he was looking to add three or four players before the transfer window closes.
