Kris Ajer is using Acupuncture to be fit for Ibrox on Sunday.

The defender lasted less than 15 minutes of last night’s 4-1 win over AIK with the immediate news being that there was little chance of him being fit for Ibrox.

With Hatem Abd Elhamed out with a hairline leg fracture the loss of Ajer would have caused serious problems at right-back but Neil Lennon sounded relaxed as he gave an injury update at today’s media conference.

Asked about Ajer, Lennon said:

He has had a little bit of Acupuncture in it, he’s getting treatment this morning and this afternoon and we’ll see how he responds to that.

Elhamed and Tom Rogic are the only players definitely out of contention through injury but after Sunday the hoops have a 13 day break before they return to action away to Hamilton Accies.

With a 100% record in the SPFL and goal difference advantage of six going into Sunday’s match Lennon is confident that his side can turn in a performance to do themselves justice

The team will be announced at 10.45am on Sunday.
