Birger Meling wants to hear about contract offers and not transfer speculation.

The left-back has been strongly linked with a move to Celtic but so far it seems that no offer has been made.

Last night Rosenborg drew 1-1 with Dinamo Zagreb to go out of the Champions League at the Play-Off stage which increases the chances of him moving on.

Meling played in the Europa League group stage last season and appears to be open to a move with his contract running until December 2020.

VG reports:

Birger Meling is another man who should be of interest to foreign clubs. He tells VG that he only wants to know from agent Bjorn Tore Kvarme about specific offers. Meling should have heard nothing about this at this time.

Meling and Greg Taylor of Kilmarnock have been strongly linked with moves to Celtic but it seems that there has been little movement since Sunday when Neil Lennon stated that he was hoping to have two or three new players on today’s flight to Sweden.

In June Motherwell announced that they had accepted an offer from Celtic for David Turnbull even though the move fell through on medical grounds, so far there has been little sign of offers being made despite Lennon’s comments on Sunday.
