James Forrest has completed a virtual ‘full house’ of Celtic transfers with The Sun claiming that Zenit St Petersburg are preparing a £12m bid for the winger.

Forrest signed a new long term contract last September and recently spoke out about signing a new Celtic contract for life.

Either side of Kieran Tierney’s £25m transfer to Arsenal there has been reports of bids and offers for Callum McGregor and Kris Ajer. Olivier Ntcham has been linked with Porto, Jozo Simunovic with Lille and Tom Rogic with Zenit earlier in the transfer window.

The Sun claims:

ZENIT are preparing a £12million bid for James Forrest. SunSport can reveal the St Petersburg club have targeted the Celticwinger, with a view to offering him a contract worth £70,000 per week.

After Scott Brown, Forrest is Celtic’s longest serving player having made his debut in 2010 while Neil Lennon was caretaker manager.

A dozen wingers have come and gone over that period with the kid from Prestwick delivering time and time again for various Celtic managers.

In 2013 he scored the last gasp goal against Shakhtar Karagandy that gave Celtic a 3-2 aggregate win and a place in the Champions League group stage, in 2017 he scored the only goal of the tie as Celtic beat Rosenborg to progress into the Play Off round.

At the end of last season Forrest was voted Player of the Year by PFA Scotland and the Football Writers.
