Leigh Griffiths was among the scorers as Celtic beat Dundee 4-2 in the Reserve Cup at Dens Park with the striker playing for one hour
The striker made a 12 minute appearance for the first team in the 3-1 win over Hearts and found himself on from the start in today’s reserve match. There were no other recognised first team players involved with Luca Connell and Ewan Henderson missing from the side that lost to Clyde last week in the Glasgow Cup
After a goal-less first half Jack Aitchison opened the scoring in the 51st minute with Griffiths scoring two minutes later. Dundee weren’t behind for long with Curren and Milligan scoring to make it 2-2 before the hour mark.
Liam Burt and Armstrong Oko Flex scored for Celtic in the 65th and 78th minutes to give the visitors a winning start to their section which also includes Morton and Dunfermline.
