Neil Lennon has admitted that Celtic’s transfer policy will be determined by Peter Lawwell.

So far Celtic have paid out transfer fees for three players- Christopher Jullien, Boli Bolingoli and Hatem Abd Elhamed- while bringing in Fraser Forster and Mortiz Bauer on loan.

With Kieran Tierney sold to Arsenal and big earners like Mikael Lustig and Dedryck Boyata off the wage bill the hoops have generated a significant surplus and wage cut so far in the window.

After beating Hearts on Sunday Lennon stated that he hoped to have two or three new signings to work with in Sweden ahead of playing at Ibrox on Sunday but so far only Bauer has been delivered.

Speaking to the Daily Record after reaching the group stage of the Europa League Lennon was asked about the prospects of bringing in more signings:

Possibly, possibly. I couldn’t tell you. I will have to speak with the big man (Lawwell) after here and I’m sure he’ll be delighted with everything so far.

The Scottish transfer window closes at midnight on Tuesday with Greg Taylor and Birger Meling the players most linked with a move to Celtic.
