Neil Lennon hasn’t dismissed reports from Italy that Odsonne Edourard could be a transfer target for Lazio.

The transfer window doesn’t close until Monday with strikers in big demand in Italy with Inter Milan signing Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.

Lazio are expecting to receive bids for Felipe Caicedo with Edouard being listed among the possible replacements for the striker.

The Daily Record reports:

Italians Lazio have been linked with Edouard, but Lennon, who played down talk of a move for Cluj attacker Billel Omrani, said: “We don’t want him to go, you can see we have the makings of a very good team and it’s important to keep your kingpins and he is certainly one of them. I think there is more to come from this team.”

Edouard has become Celtic’s first choice striker following his £9m transfer from Paris Saint Germain last summer.

That followed a season on loan at the hoops in which he shone with three vital goals in the Glasgow derby including a winner at Ibrox after coming off the bench.

Edouard was substituted in the 75th minute of last night’s 4-1 win over AIK but is expected to be fit for Ibrox on Sunday with the injury reported as cramp.

The 21-year-old is under contract with Celtic until 2022, yesterday he was named in the French u-21 squad for the first time.
