Neil Lennon has played down injury fears over Kris Ajer.
The young Norwegian was substituted with four minutes left in the 3-1 win over Hearts after a typical commanding display.
For the second match running he played at right-back without his performance suffering in any way- in an ideal world Celtic would have an Ajer at centre half and another at right-back.
The 21-year-old has barely missed a minute of action this season but Lennon is confident that he’ll be available for the trips to Sweden and Ibrox.
βKris had a bit of cramp and he has a knee problem,β the Celtic boss told The Sun. βHe also has a shoulder injury apart from that, he is okay! He should be fine for Thursday.β
With Ajer at right-back Christopher Jullien was teamed up with Nir Bitton in the centre of defence with Lennon telling Radio Scotland that Jozo Simunovic has an on-going knee issue that prevents him from playing ‘three games a week’.
Following the match at Ibrox there is an international break followed by a trip to the plastic pitch at Hamilton which should allow Simunovic to be available for the next two games without any problems.
