Christopher Jullien has shared his appreciation for ‘on fire’ Odsonne Edouard on twitter.

The defender started his first European match last night and enjoyed a great view of the goal scored by his fellow Frenchman.

With 73 minutes on the clock and Celtic leading 1-0 Edouard stepped up and guided a well placed free-kick around the AIK wall and into the net.

Edouard let the line with style and purpose last night, popping up in awkward areas to cause the Swede’s difficulties with team-mates swarming up in support.

Vakoun Bayo replaced Edouard for the closing five minutes with Neil Lennon facing a big selection issue for Sunday’s match against Hearts.

With visits to Sweden and Ibrox on the horizon Edouard may be on the bench on Sunday giving Leigh Griffiths or Bayo the chance to start against Craig Levein’s side.

Jullien looks like getting the chance to build on his partnership with Jozo Simunovic.
