There are no ‘big names’ in the Celtic side for tonight’s Glasgow Cup tie against Clyde at Broadwood although Chris McStay, son of Paul is in the home side.

Summer signings Luca Connell and Liam Burt are in the side as Celtic set off to defend the trophy that they won in May but Neil Lennon has kept all of his first team squad involved in the build up for Thursday’s Europa League qualifier against AIK.

After facing Queens Park and Falkirk in successive weeks in the Tunnocks Challenge Cup Tommy McIntyre’s side are sharp and ready for competitive action.

Last season’s Glasgow Cup campaign consisted of two matches against Queens Park and Partick Thistle at u-20 level before a lively final victory over Graeme Murty’s starlets on home soil.

Tonight’s match is the first of eight fixtures in the Glasgow Cup, there are no restrictions on the players that Clyde can play with Celtic restricted to u-21’s with two overage players allowed.
