Craig Gordon and Odsonne Edouard are back in the Celtic side for tonight’s Europa League Play Off against AIK.
With Fraser Forster ineligible Gordon was always going to return with Edouard preferred in attack over two goal Vakoun Bayo. Hatem Abd Elhamed has still to recover from injury leaving Kris Ajer at right-back with Christopher Jullien and Nir Bitton continuing in central defence..
After winning 2-0 in the first leg last week Celtic are strong favourites to progress into tomorrow’s group stage draw for the competition.
At this stage last season Celtic enjoyed a comfortable 4-1 aggregate win over Suduva of Lithuania but the Swedish champions are much tougher opponents.
Should the game finish in a 2-0 home win it will go into extra-time with the prospect of penalties, a goal for Celtic within 90 minutes rules out that prospect.
