Once again Odsonne Edouard was the Celtic hero with one young fan especially pleased by the display of the Frenchman.

The chant of ‘I wanna be Edouard’ has taken root among Celtic supporters this season with a 73rd minute goal against AIK providing the perfect moment, again, to celebrate the gifted young French striker.

A foul on Mikey Johnston 25 yards from goal provided the opening, Edouard sized things up then sent a free kick around the wall and into the net.

In just over two years at Celtic Edouard has specialised in big match goals while not neglecting the more run of the mill matches with his first stamp on the club coming with a hat-trick against Motherwell in December 2017.

Later that season he came off the bench to score the winning goal at Ibrox before striking twice against Graeme Murty’s side to clinch the title in a 5-0 derby day drubbing.

With five minutes to go Vakoun Bayo replaced the Frenchman who was given a standing ovation and another chorus of his song as he left the pitch.
