Manny Perez provided a classic example of attacking full-back play as he helped North Carolina to a 4-2 win over Tampa Bay Rowdies.
North Carolina were leading 2-1 with 15 minutes left to play when Perez got on the ball, worked his way into the penalty box then drilled a shot off Pepe Diakite to give his side a little more breathing space.

The match ended in a 4-2 win for North Carolina with Perez completing his third match after a long lay off that cost him the chance to impress with Celtic during their pre-season matches in Switzerland and Austria.
It’s believed that the 20-year-old was declined a work permit in January but Celtic went ahead with the signing and loaned Perez to North Carolina for their season which runs until mid October.
Fellow loanee Andrew Gutman, who played against Pinkafeld and Viener, has had his deal with FC Cincinnati extended into next season.
