Kevin Clancy brought Celtic’s 100% SPFL record to a halt with a horrendous display in the 1-1 draw with Hibs at Easter Road.
Celtic were denied two clear second half penalties when Ryan Christie and Moritz Bauer were felled in virtually identical places in the penalty box.
Clancy and his assistant both had clear views of the incidents but weren’t interested in applying the Laws of the Game.
The last time that Clancy was in charge of a Celtic match was at Ibrox in May when he only gave Jon Flanagan a yellow card for elbowing Scott Brown in the face as he prepared for a corner kick.
Hibs took the lead through an early own goal off Kris Ajer but Celtic struck back with a header from Ryan Christie for his 11th goal of the season.
In 2018 while managing Hibs Neil Lennon was sent to the stand by Clancy after a controversial penalty was awarded to Kilmarnock.
Three Celtic players were booked during the match with the cards shown to Scott Brown and Kris Ajer particularly soft.
@ScottishFA Kevin Clancy, again cheat or incompetent?

Kevin Clancy is definitely a man to holda grudge. Disgraceful performance.

1-1 in the end…..canny win them all.
Poor show from Kevin Clancy, who ignores 2 clear penalties. @CelticFC @HibernianFC #HIBCEL— Darren (@G57Reid) September 28, 2019
Kevin Clancy and his linesman should be stood down for the next month at the minimum. Should be sent on refresher course on spotting fouls. I.e. Opposition player kicked in box = penalty. Absolutely shocking officiating.

Kevin Clancy is a joke

Kevin Clancy with a woeful refereeing performance all over the park there. Awful decisions against both teams. No flow to the game, constant stop-start giving fouls for pretty much everything. Yellow cards galore.
All round ugly game.

Kevin Clancy isn’t goood enough to referee a primary school game of fitba. Shocking
