Tom Rogic and Kris Ajer are both in the Celtic squad for tomorrow’s match at Hamilton.

The Australian hasn’t played any type of football this season with his injury unclear while Ajer suffered a groin strain during the early stages of the 4-1 Europa League win over AIK a fortnight ago.

Whether the plastic surface of New Douglas Park is the ideal surface to bring players back from injury is a different matter but with a busy period coming up including Europa League ties Neil Lennon is getting a boost in terms of competition and quality.

Speaking at today’s media conference on Celtic TV the hoops boss said:

Tom Rogic is fit now. That’s a welcome boost, a player of that quality. Kris (Ajer) is fit so he will be in contention. It’s great to have that strength in depth. The internationals have come back all fit and well. The only absentees we have are from the fallout from the Rangers game. Nir is going to be out for a few weeks with a hamstring strain and Mikey with a groin injury. Jozo has the ongoing knee problem as well, so he is seeing a specialist today.

In all areas of the park Lennon has strong options thanks to the additions in the last ten days of the transfer window.

Celtic fave seven matches between tomorrow and the October 6 visit to Livingston ahead of the next international break. Maintaining their 100% record in the SPFL will be the priority with full points at Hamilton tomorrow stretching the advantage at the top of the table to six points before kick off time at Ibrox.
