Celtic’s Europa League squad gives an insight into Neil Lennon’s thinking over the next few months with four new signings added- and four players dropping out.
Moritz Bauer, Greg Taylor, Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi have all been included for the six matches which starts in 14 days away to Rennes.
Making way are Jack Hendry, Eboue Kouassi, Luca Connell and Daniel Arzani with Scott Sinclair remaining in the list despite failing to make any match day squad since making a substitute appearance at Motherwell in the second SPFL fixture.
UEFA have put up the squad list for the Europa League group stage. Highlights
– Forster, Bain and Gordon all included.
– Eddie eligible for List B, saving a List A spot.
– Hendry, Koussai and Connell removed. Arzani left out.
– Bauer, Taylor, Elyounoussi added.— Moravcik67 (@Moravcik67_) September 5, 2019
Forster looks to be the first choice keeper based on the team selected at Ibrox but Lennon has included the other two keepers that have played this season rather than include an additional outfield player.
Home developed players such as Mikey Johnstone, Callum McGregor and James Forrest don’t need to be listed with Odsonne Edouard and Kris Ajer now joining that category.
Taylor played for Kilmarnock in the Europa League qualifiers but can play for Celtic in the group stage, he won’t be able to play in the Betfred Cup after playing for Killie in their win over Hamilton.
