Neil Lennon has insisted that Scott Sinclair still has a role to play at Celtic.

The winger has been the top scorer during the club’s Treble Treble success but has dropped out of the picture this season.

In May Celtic took up the option of a 12 month extension on his contract but despite scoring as a substitute in the opening match of the season away to Sarajevo appearances have been limited.

Mikey Johnston appears to be the first choice to play on the left wing with loan signing Mo Elyounoussi and Jonny Hayes next in line for game time.

Sinclair replaced Elyounoussi after 56 minutes last night and scored the final goal in the 5-0 rout with Lennon telling the Daily Record that he still has a role to play:

Scott Sinclair is still very much part of the squad. We have seen a good reaction from him. He isn’t a sulker and his body language in training is improving all the time. He came on and made a difference and scored and looked strong.

Lennon has some major decisions to make for Saturday’s match away to Hibs with the eight players brought in last night all showing that they are capable of making a contribution with Jeremie Frimpong picking up the Man of the Match award on his debut.
