Kris Boyd’s incredible attack on ‘beautiful human being’ Brendan Rodgers

Kris Boyd has published an incredible character attack on Brendan Rodgers- straight out of the infamous Deluded Brendan account.

The former Kilmarnock striker was on duty in the Sky Sports studio at Ibrox on Sunday. When his pre-match prediction of a 2-0 home win was made to look foolish he decided to shower praise on Neil Lennon’s tactics.

By making comparisons to the approach of the previous manager Boyd drew a response from a certain EPL manager, unhappy that criticism was being aired of his approach and tactics.

What Boyd did next certainly couldn’t have been anticipated when Rodgers clicked the send button on his mobile phone with readers of The Sun getting the inside story this morning.

BRENDAN RODGERS sees himself as a beautiful human being. But going by the tetchy text message he sent me on Sunday night, he’s not half a prickly one. First thing’s first: it’s good to know Mr Buzzword still has his Sky subscription and is keeping up with Scottish football from his living room.

I would still have thought he’d have more to worry about than my punditry from the Ibrox studio. I’ll not reveal everything the bold Brendan messaged me because I don’t think that would be fair. But let’s just say he didn’t take too kindly to my critique on Celtic that pointed out how Neil Lennon’s team didn’t need to play tippy-tappy football to beat Rangers.

Rather than take some quiet satisfaction at triggering an angry reply from Rodgers Boyd has used a private text message to spill out all of his anger at the man that won eight out of eight trophies as Celtic manager.

With his own goal record against Celtic as well known as his limited ability as a pundit Boyd should be wary of the comeback from pouring out his anger in print on the back of receiving one text message.
