Neil Lennon has no complaints about the way Scotland handled his international players.

Ryan Christie and James Forrest made one start during the international double header while Callum McGregor started against Russia and Belgium.

On Thursday Steven Gerrard accused the SFA of being careless over Ryan Jack after he went through a 12km workout two days after getting the runaround in the Glasgow derby.

Jack did make it onto the substitute bench to watch the defeat from Russia before returning to his club where Gerrard informed the media that he has an on-going knee issue.

Over the last couple of seasons Celtic have at times provided the SFA with six starters with Lennon comfortable with how his players are looked after on international duty.

Speaking to Celtic TV the Irishman said:

They’ve come back with no problems, no injuries. They had the game (at Ibrox) then it was straight to the hotel, maybe a recovery day and into the training. Maybe Steven has an issue with that due to Ryan’s injury, thankfully we are injury free from that.

Greg Taylor was also involved in the Scotland squad with the former Kilmarnock defender expected to be named as a substitute for tomorrow’s match at Hamilton.
