‘Scott Brown is past it’ Celtic fans revel in Kris Boyd’s Sky Sports misery

Kris Boyd looked a broken man as he watched Celtic stamp their authority and class over another Glasgow derby.

All week the former Kilmarnock striker has been predicting the demise of Celtic but his post match demeanour told the story of the day.

Sitting alongside Kris Commons in the Sky Sports studio Boyd watched all of his pre-match predictions fall flat on their face. Celtic were a team without leaders, reliant on Scott Brown whose old legs were no longer upto the task of tracking Ryan Jack and Scotty Arfield.

Celtic dominated the match from the early exchanges before deservedly taking the lead through Odsonne Edouard, after that strike nothing changed from the home side as they tried to find their way back into the side.

Midway through the second half Celtic’s makeshift defence suffered another blow when Nir Bitton went off injured with Moritz Bauer thrown onto a debut alongside Christopher Jullien, Hatem Abd Elhamed and Boli Bolingoli.

In stoppage time Johnny Hayes knocked in Celtic’s second, the points were secured and it was back to the studio for the post mortem  with Boyd.
