Jeremie Frimpong and Olivier Ntcham attracted most of the attention and headlines from Celtic’s 5-0 win over Partick Thistle but the display of Vakoun Bayo could be the most significant.
Celtic are now well covered at right-back and in midfield but in attack Odsonne Edouard is in need of back up especially since he broke into the French u-21 side.

Bayo responded perfectly last month when he scored twice in the 3-1 win over Hearts, regardless of what Craig Levein claims, last night he scored the opener with an almost un-Celtic like header.
Celtic strikers over the last decade have rarely been known for their strength and ability in the air, as he timed his run and nodded home a free kick from Jonny Hayes it seems that Bayo offers that alternative.
Last night’s performance provided Neil Lennon with numerous options going forward, perhaps the twin strike-force of Edouard and Bayo is one that might soon be unleashed.
