After missing the 6-0 win over Ross County on Saturday due to suspension Christie looked to be a man on a mission as he faced the Italian giants.

During the first half he watched in despair as a spectacular shot hit the post but at the interval Celtic were trailing 1-0.

The early stages of the second half saw Celtic toil but once Odsonne Edouard cut the ball back to Christie midway through the second period the ball flashed into the net and it was game on.

Christie chased down everything, hounded Lazio into mistakes and refused to accept a point as good enough.

With two minutes left to play he placed his corner kick onto the head of Christopher Jullien as Celtic Park erupted in joy, later today we’ll find out if the noise carried all the way to UEFA as the results of their Matchday Three Player of the Week is announced.
