After what seems like a lot more than a fortnight Celtic are back in action against Ross County in the SPFL on Saturday. In their last outing, away to Livingston, Celtic suffered their first defeat and were knocked off top spot in the Premiership.
The day before that set-back Ross County were drawing 2-2 at home to St Johnstone with ex-Celt Joe Chalmers among the scorers. The Dingwall side ran out easy winners of The Championship last season and currently sit in fifth place above Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen.
You have to go back to 31 March 2018 for the last time that the two clubs met with Celtic running out 3-0 victors. Moussa Dembele, Stuart Armstrong and Tom Rogic scored the goals with Kris Ajer, Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Rogic the only Celtic players involved in that match likely to start on Saturday.
Forget it- unless you are an overseas subscriber to Celtic TV. A Saturday home match at 3pm is a rare treat for season ticket holders with Sky Sports News likely to show brief highlights on Saturday night with extended highlights available on Sunday from You Tube and BBC Sportscene.
WHO IS IN AND OUT
Ryan Christie will be out through suspension after being sent off at Livingston with Neil Lennon providing an update on who is available at tomorrow’s media conference.
No injuries have been reported from international duty with updates expected on the fitness of Mikey Johnston and Leigh Griffiths. Don Robertson will referee the match.
