Celtic will be without THREE key players for tomorrow’s Europa League clash with Lazio.

It seems that the longer than a player is out injured the lesser a blow it is when they are unavailable but if Neil Lennon ever got the chance to pick his first choice 14 it’s highly likely that Leigh Griffiths, Mikey Johnston and Olivier Ntcham would be included.

Griffiths has been out for the longest period with the striker not involved since the end of August. Lennon has had to rely increasingly on Odsonne Edouard with Vakoun Bayo still to prove that he is a reliable deputy or capable of pushing for a starting place.

Johnston was outstanding in the derby day success at Ibrox but hasn’t played since, on Friday Neil Lennon told The Sun:

Mikey is still struggling with the hip and groin area. It’s a bit of a concern. We’ve missed that dynamism. He’s a bit frustrated as it’s been so slow, but it’s not going to be long-term.

Ntcham missed out on international duty but turned his ankle at training on Friday, after missing the win over Ross County he was expected to be in contention to face Lazio but is already ruled out of contention.

After tomorrow’s match Celtic face a punishing schedule of three matches in seven days- Aberdeen, St Mirren and Hibs- having a fully fit squad for that run of fixtures would be a welcome boost.
