Tony Watt knows a thing or two about special nights at Celtic Park.

Seven years ago the teenager from Coatbridge scored one of the most famous goals that the stadium has ever seen when he latched onto a long clearance from Fraser Forster to put Celtic 2-0 in front of Barcelona.

In among the crowd that night were a father and son that had travelled down from Inverness to take in the match. Last night from his sofa in Sofia Watt looked on with delight as Ryan Christie again stamped his authority on a European night in Glasgow’s east end.

Over the last year Christie has been instrumental in Europa League wins over RB Leipzig and Cluj, last night he took it up a level as he bulldozed his way past Lazio.

Using nothing but instinct and natural ability he drew Celtic level midway through the second half, perfectly positioning himself for Odsonne Edouard’s cut-back.

Corner kicks haven’t been one of Celtic’s strengths in recent seasons but as they say timing is everything with Christie planting a perfect delivery onto Christopher Jullien’s head to score a dramatic winner. It made for pleasant viewing- Watching With Watt.
