Steven Gerrard looked concerned and worried as he gave an update on Ryan Jack’s injury.
The midfield star was substituted after 65 minutes of Thursday’s 2-1 defeat from Young Boys of Bern and will definitely miss Sunday’s SPFL match at home to Hamilton Accies.
Without any contact from an opponents Jack sat down in the middle of the park, rolled down his sock and instantly the club’s medical staff knew that his game was over.

A scan tonight will reveal the extent of the damage but the concern was obvious in Gerrard’s tone.
The Ibrox boss was highly critical of the way Jack was dealt with during the last international break even though he returned to playing for his club without interruption.
Gerrard did reveal that the 27-year-old had an on-going knee issue that the club was managing, after playing on plastic pitches against Livingston and Young Boys within 10 days Jack could be looking at a lengthy lay off once the results of the scan are known.
