Jullien sends out bold message

Christopher Jullien has declared last night’s bhoys success as Men at Work!

The Frenchman watched from the bench as Celtic crashed out of the Europa League to Cluj in August but that 4-3 scoreline was never going to be repeated.

Jullien should have put Celtic in front with a couple of early chances but in the 20th minute fellow Frenchman Odsonne Edouard showed the way when he headed the opening goal from a perfectly weighted cut-back from Boli Bolingoli.

Cluj never had a chance to settle into the match as Celtic’s pace threatened their defence and created a string of chances.

Just before the hour mark a shot from Mo Elyounoussi deflected off a Romanian defender and found the net, in truth Celtic were good value for their win with 2-0 flattering Cluj.

In three weeks time Celtic go again in the Europa League with Lazio the next visitors for a shift under the disco lights in Glasgow’s east end.
