Celtic look like having to wait until tomorrow to find out the sanctions that they’ll face for firework offences at the Europa League match with Cluj.

UEFA have strict guidelines on what fans can and can’t do inside stadiums with the use of fireworks strictly prohibited.

Celtic had been expected to find out today the punishment that they will face but it seems that the decision has been delayed as the Daily Record reported:

It was expected the Premiership champions would find out their fate today after fans let flares off against Cluj in the Europa League but Record Sport understands the decision has been pushed back.

On Tuesday the Record correctly predicted that the verdict on Lazio’s racism charges had been put back with UEFA announcing on Wednesday morning a partial closure of the Stadio Olympico for the November 7 match against Celtic.

With the match seven days away any sort of ground closure seems unlikely with Celtic fined earlier this season for incidents involving fireworks during the Europa League play-off away to AIK.

Following the 2-0 win over Cluj Celtic sold out the remaining tickets for the Lazio match within 24 hours.
