Ewan Henderson enjoyed a brief reunion with big brother Liam in Italy last month.

The younger brother moved on loan from Celtic to Ross County during the transfer window and has the perfect role model with his brother now playing in Serie A.

Loan spells at Rosenborg and Hibs allowed Liam to add to his medal collection but an endless supply of midfielders restricted his progress at Celtic.

Ewan faces similar problems but at the age of 19 he has time on his side and in Dingwall the chance to get regular top team football in the SPFL.

Speaking to The Sun Ewan said:

I got over in the last international break to see him. It was great to see the place although I didn’t get to watch a game. There aren’t many boys from Scotland who have gone over and done what he’s done. It shows it’s possible for Scottish players to try things like that. He’s always watching me and giving me advice — he’s been a massive help to my career.

Ewan has made three appearances for Ross County, missing yesterday’s match against his parent club.

With Callum McGregor and Scott Brown anchoring midfield Neil Lennon has plenty of options with Nir Bitton, Tom Rogic, Ryan Christie and Olivier Ntcham also contending for places in the side.
