Christopher Jullien caused a stir in midweek when he said sorry for Celtic’s 2-0 defeat at Livingston- more than a week after the match.
The defender mentioned nerves which seemed odd after winning at home to Cluj in the Europa League and strolling through a Glasgow derby victory at Ibrox.
Some fans wondered why a player was being so honest but as we’ve discovered since he was first linked with Celtic Jullien does enjoy sharing almost every thought on social media.
It won’t return the points lost at Livingston but a clean sheet at the back as the forwards hit the goal trail was exactly what Celtic required as they beat Ross County 6-0 to return to top spot in the SPFL.
Jullien and Kris Ajer were largely untroubled but after just two days of training following the international break it was the performance and result that Celtic fans were looking for.
If Jullien can help Celtic to wins over Lazio and Aberdeen in the next two matches there’ll be absolutely no need for any more apologies on social media.
