He played against him as a Hibs player but Scott Brown regrets missing out on having Henrik Larsson as a Celtic team-mate.

In 12 years at Celtic the current skipper has played with some of the greats including Shunsuke Nakamura, Moussa Dembele, and Kieran Tierney as he filled up his medal cabinet.

Brown enjoyed a few tussles with Alan Thompson, Darren O’Dea and Neil Lennon but his arrival at Celtic was three years too late to play alongside the King of Kings.

Asked to name the former Celtic player that he would loved to have played alongside he answered: “Henrik, he’d have made my job a lot easier.”

With 242 goals through seven magnificent there’s no doubt that Larsson made life a little easier for those fortunate enough to have joined him in the Huddle.

After Celtic the Swede moved on to Barcelona where he helped the Catalans to win the 2006 Champions League before a short loan spell with Manchester United where he is fondly remembered for his impact on Alex Ferguson’s side.
