Apparently Arsenal, Paris Saint Germain and Juventus are ready to bid for Karamoko Dembele.
They’ll have company from two clubs in Manchester, Spurs, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
For more than three years the 16-year-old has had his every move tracked. Every scouting department in Europe knows about Dembele and his agents, Ajax can be added to the list above, every club involved in the Champions League will be primed for the first hint that the player will be on the move. As recently as this summer Bayern Munich signed Dembele’s team-mate Liam Morrison.
As well as his development at Celtic the London born kid is a fixture at St George’s Park, working his way through the levels in the England set up having already captained the u-17 side.
Shortly before his 16th birthday Celtic announced that the Academy kid had signed a two year professional contract running until 2021. His progress this season and next will determine whether he signs a new deal or moves on to one of the richest clubs in Europe.
There is absolutely no indication that Dembele is looking elsewhere, he seems perfectly happy at Celtic but from social media he is on very good terms with the highest rated young players in the England set up. The competition to sign these young players is fierce, the contracts on offer are exceptional.
From the moment that he played in a Development League match as a 13-year-old Dembele has been in the spotlight. As a professional that will only intensify with more than three clubs watching closely to see if they can lure him away from Celtic.
