No one is better placed than Scott Brown to appreciate Celtic’s record in Europe this season.

The club captain has played in all 13 matches so far this season taking his total number of appearances in UEFA matches through the 100 mark.

Along the way there has been many highs and lows with the former Hibs midfielder being at the sharp end throughout.

Just four years ago Celtic limped through a Europa League campaign without winning a match wit back-to-back defeats from Molde without doubt the low-point.

A year ago a demoralising defeat from RB Salzburg was transformed by news of a late goal for Rosenborg away to RB Leipzig but this season’s record is entirely the work of Neil Lennon’s squad.

The club’s first ever competitive win in Italy, four group wins on the bounce, topping the group with a match still to be played and a points tally of at least 13 have set a high water mark- with more to follow at the end of February.
