Daniel Arzani has posted an image with Piccadilly Station, Manchester hinting that his loan spell to Celtic might be cut short.
The winger made his only Celtic appearance just over a year ago as a substitute at Dundee but suffered a cruciate ligament injury that brought his season to a halt.
Arzani took part in Celtic’s initial pre-season work but missed the trip to Austria and Switzerland where Karamoko Dembele and Armstrong Oko-Flex were given game time.
So far this season he has played for 45 minutes in a reserve team friendly against Albion Rovers.
Celtic signed the winger on a two-year loan deal in July 2018 on the back of his World Cup performances for Australia but injury appears to have ruined his development plan.
Since Arzani was signed Celtic have brought in Marian Shved and Mo Elyounoussi while Mikey Johnston was the first pick left-winger until he got injured at Ibrox in September.
Manchester City would be able to send the 20-year-old out on loan to a different club in January which would almost certainly provide him with a greater chance of first team football.
