Crocked Celtic defender posts ‘never stop working’ video

Jozo Simunovic has posted two stories on Instagram as he battles back to fitness.

The defender underwent surgery in September for a knee issue picked up during Celtic’s 2-0 first leg Europa League play-off win over AIK.

His absence allowed Christopher Jullien and Kris Ajer to form a defensive partnership but beyond that Neil Lennon has had to draft in Nir Bitton or Hatem Abd Elhamed to play in central defence.

From the videos it appears that Simunovic is back in Croatia working on his recuperation rather than being at Lennoxtown.

Since joining Celtic four years ago the former Dinamo Zagreb defender has been dogged by injuries restricting him to starting just 64 SPFL appearances.

It remains to be seen whether Simunovic will play again this year with the more likely option being to return to action after taking part in the January training break in Dubai.
