Despite coming off the elite FIFA list of Scottish referees in the summer Andrew Dallas retains the support of the SFA and will take charge of Saturday’s match between Celtic and Livingston.

The Lanarkshire based official was in charge of last season’s Betfred Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen but coming off the FIFA list should see other referees ahead of him in the queue for high profile fixtures.

So far this season Dallas has had six SPFL Premiership appointments, two of them involving Steven Gerrard’s side who picked up full points from their trip to St Johnstone and visit from Motherwell.

The last time Dallas handled a Celtic match was in January when the hoops beat Airdrie 3-0 in a Scottish Cup tie

Celtic’s visit to Livingston earlier in the season had its fair share of controversy with Willie Collum sending off Ryan Christie but opting only to book Keaghan Jacobs for a horror attack on Jonny Hayes.
